They are now contributing to the Nation’s growth and development on technological and infrastructural fronts. Today, several trainees from these centres have turned out to be the brand ambassadors of skill development, transforming not just their own lives but also their families and communities.

IG Drones association with ESSCI dates back to August 2021, where they collaborated intending to upskill 10 million youth with the advanced Drone technology. Being aligned with the National Education Policy, the collaboration had widened the scope for imparting knowledge related to Drone Technology under Vocational Courses for different age groups with an aim to broaden the horizons for young children, facilitating their growth & improvement.

And the drone industry is sure to generate around 5-7 lakh job opportunities for people all over the Nation. The only requirement is a cluster of youth, well equipped with knowledge related to drone technology.

” Drone Flying Simulators will power the Center of Excellence along with Industry Standard software to give a firsthand experience of drone flying and field training with safety gears. We also aim at providing performance-based placement support to the trained pilots.” Said Mr. Om Prakash Das, Chief Operating Officer, IG Drones

The tripartite MoU is sure to beam a whole new varsity into the drone ecosystem in India.

Under this MoU, the parties agreed upon enhancing the training infrastructure of the institutes partnered with ESSCI as well as the young students at the vocational centres of YPSVEF with a common goal to make the future generations of the Nation skilled and capable enough to cope up with the rapid technological advancements.

Mr. Piyush Chakrobarty, Officiating Head, ESSCI, said, “In my opinion, collaborations like these will help the drone segment strengthen its roots in India. Though we have already established ourselves as a leading drone importing Nation with a great amount of usage in all spheres, proper skilling and employment opportunities are essential to ensure its long run. I’m looking forward to the benefits this collaboration is going to bring in.”

Thus, this collaboration aims to make the youth more aware of the transformation in drone technology, paving the way for a ‘developed’ nation. With the next wave of 10 million trained youth surging up with the newer drone ecosystem in place, India will soon be the Drone Hub of the World.
